Qualtrust Credit Union Becomes Legal Entity of Texas Trust Credit Union
ARLINGTON, Texas – October 2, 2017 – Financial aspects of the Qualtrust and Texas Trust Credit Union merger are complete, and Qualtrust Credit Union is now legally a part of Texas Trust.
Qualtrust members voted favorably for the merger earlier this year, allowing the two credit unions to join forces. The newly joined credit union has assets in excess of $1.2 billion and more than 105,000 members, with 22 locations – placing it in the top five percent of credit unions in Texas and the United States.
Texas Trust will retain the Qualtrust website and brand during the conversion process, which it plans to complete by early next year. At that time all Qualtrust branches will be rebranded as Texas Trust.
“Although the legal aspect of the merger is complete, there is still a tremendous amount of work to do before Qualtrust members will be fully integrated into Texas Trust,” said Jim Minge, president and CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “We have been working closely with our newly assimilated Qualtrust employees to develop a smooth transition plan so that the conversion is seamless to all members.”
