Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council established by Texas Trust Credit Union provides educational and leadership opportunities for interested and qualified high school students. The council seat is a paid stipend position.

The council members will learn about the credit union difference, service leadership, marketing, career opportunities, and participate in one financial education class. They will participate in one service learning project and volunteer at a community event sponsored by Texas Trust. The council members will also serve as a sounding board to improve youth financial service offerings provided by Texas Trust Credit Union.


To be eligible to participate in the Texas Trust Youth Advisory Council, a student must:

  1. Be either: a) a TXTCU member or b) a student at a Texas Trust partner high school.
  2. Be grade level (or credit equivalent) of a High School Sophomore through High School Senior.
  3. Submit a completed application through the link below before the deadline of December 31, 2015.
  4. Orientation will be Monday, January 11, 2016 and the sessions will be two (2) Mondays a month from 5:00pm-6:30pm in Arlington.

  5. Upon request be able to provide a letter of recommendation from a principal, teacher, employer or clergy.
  6. Must be able to attend two after school council sessions per month in Arlington, TX.
